Jökulsárlón

At the edge of Vatnajökull, Jökulsárlón is a landscape caught between ice, land, and sea.

Icebergs break away from the glacier and slowly drift through the lagoon, each carrying its own patterns of brilliant white, deep blue, volcanic ash, and translucent ice. Eventually, they make their way toward the North Atlantic, where the landscape continues to shift with every tide.

Jökulsárlón is a study of texture, scale, and impermanence—ancient ice fractured into constantly changing forms beneath an immense Icelandic sky. These frames capture a landscape that is never truly still and will never look exactly the same way twice.
